I saw a tweet that had been posted 43 minutes before I had seen it. It was from Sev saying he’ll be signing at the booth for an hour and to come and say ‘Hi!” - this seemed like a welcoming invitation so I quickly bolted out of my seat in the main auditorium and went to the booth. He was talking to Beef at the time and nobody was around him. When Beef left, I asked if he was busy and said he was supposed to be. I had my card in my hand and he took it an signed it. I asked how it was possible that he wasn’t busy and he just shrugged. I told him that I had something for him and was sorry if it was inconvenient for him. He said, “No, you’re okay.” and seemed thankful for the letter. I enquired about his day and all he said was that it was “long”. I asked if we could get a picture and he said “Sure”. Now reading this, you’re probably thinking that the encounter was normal but there was something that just made it feel a bit tense. I was unsure whether he was smiling through gritted teeth. He just seemed a lot less enthusiastic than on stream and, in the picture, he looked a lot sadder than in others. Meeting Sevadus under these conditions definitely put a downer on things and made me a little bit upset. I’m someone to worry a lot so, knowing me, I’m going to stress over the fact that I might’ve done something wrong or deserved this awful experience. I think I would’ve been better off not seeing him at all. This saddens me.
