Where: Minecon 2015, London, Mindcrack Booth

When: Minecon Day 1, 04/07/2015 @ 2.55pm

There was a MASSIVE crowd around Doc. Everyone was pushing to the front and not even saying hi- they would just shove the card in his face, take a picture and walk away. I was so shocked at the rudeness of them that I didn't want to assosiate meeting him with this negative behaviour. So I waited. I waited for everyone to finish doing whatever the fuck they wanted and, whenever Doc would look over to me, I shot an apologetic smile as if to say "I'm sorry that they're being so odd". About 20 minutes later (after the crowd died down- alot more people had joined during the time) I looked around to check that everyone had gone. Doc came over to me with a smile. I was quite shocked that he realised that I had waited all that time. I already had my letter in hand. He came over and gave me a hug. I asked him how his day had been and, despite the fact that he just experienced a mob of people, he told me how great MInecon had been so far.

I told him that I had something for him. "For me!? Wow thats awesome!" he said with sincerity. I pulled out the letter and his smile grew wider. He asked if I wanted him to read it there and then and I told him I didn't mind. He said that he would savour it and read it later when he's less busy. I told him that I completely understood and asked if I could get a picture. He was so for it.

After I had snapped a few pictures, I hugged him again and he told me to check that the picture turned out okay (which he hadnt told anyone else to do). I said that everthing was great and departed after saying goodbye.

I learnt from this that sometimes, waiting and doing what's best can pay off and it can be one of the most rewarding experiences in a lifetime.
